As I was scrolling Pinterest one day, this project caught my eye. I had never worked with clay (in my adult life anyways) and since I love to try new crafts, this seemed perfect for a Pinterest Party. DIY clay bowls are beginner friendly, don't use many supplies, and are inexpensive to make. What's not to like?! Two packs of clay made 7-8 small circular and oblong bowls. Obviously, the size of your pieces will determine how many you can make. This would be a great craft to make a few extras for birthday and hostess gifts - just stash…

Summer break has come to an end in our household and I'm finally back to share some of the projects I completed over the summer. I hosted a few Pinterest Parties this summer, the first of which consisted of creating DIY wooden plant stands. This super simple craft is easily customizable to your style and even further customizable using wood stains and paint. So, what's a Pinterest Party you ask? Only the most fun you'll have on a Friday night :) But besides that, its a ladies craft night (okay, sometimes Andrew makes an appearance when power tools are involved)…
My first Pinterest Party of 2021 is in the books! Last month a few friends and I got together to make DIY Pom Pom wreaths and they came out soooooo cute. I actually saw this idea on Instagram and thought it would be a super easy project for a crowd. And although it was easy, I completely underestimated how long it would take. But more on that in a minute. This is a beginner level craft that takes very little supplies - just 4 items! And if you aren't making one at a Pinterest Party, this is great craft to…
A few weeks ago, I shared these DIY mosaic planters from my last Pinterest Party and mentioned there was another craft we created the same night. Well, here it is! Along with mosaic planters, I also sourced materials to make mosaic side tables that turned out equally as cute as the planters. These projects are great because they are completely customizable to the colors and patterns each person likes, that will fit the style of their own home. Again, the idea for this craft was taken from my Better Homes and Gardens June Magazine. We used the directions in the…
Happy Fall ya'll! The weather has finally started to change here in Austin, and we are enjoying the below sweltering temperatures. Last weekend, I had the pleasure of hosting another Pinterest Party, so today I'm sharing the process for making these simple mosaic planters. For anyone who's new here, I host craft nights, which I call Pinterest Parties, about every other month or so (when there aren't global pandemics going on) to spend time with friends and be able to use my creativity. I choose the craft and source the materials, then my friends come over and complete the craft…
Recently, I had a few friends over for my second Pinterest Party of the year. Typically, I have 4-5 parties spaced throughout the year but the recent events in the world put a pause on many types of gatherings and so lately I've been itching to do a craft night with friends. The last party I hosted was waayyyyy back in February (which seems like a lifetime ago at this point) when we made resin coasters and didn't know the coronavirus even existed. So last week, I, and a few friends, felt comfortable with a small gathering and got together…
What's a Pinterest party you ask? Only the most fun, relaxing, creative Saturday night you'll find anywhere. And its right here in Austin, Texas, hosted by yours truly. I've always been a crafter, and with the rise of Pinterest, ideas and tutorials for projects has only skyrocketed. Years ago, I would talk with friends about how we should all get together and make a craft from one of our Pinterest boards, and that, my friends, is how the Pinterest party was born. I hosted my first Pinterest party 5 years ago. It was spring break (I'm a *retired* teacher) and…
